In fact, there exists a special relationship among all these finishes, and that relationship is at the heart of the synergy that’s created within the living spaces at 3550 South Ocean.

The Palm Beach condos for sale at 3550 South Ocean are a masterful reinterpretation of the classic beachfront residences that have become synonymous with this part of the shore. The design reflects both the natural surroundings as well as the modern sophistication that is a hallmark of the South Palm Beach lifestyle. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding doors that open to private covered balconies offer a variety of unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway — a seamless marrying of indoor and out.

The delicate variations in tone and texture that are observed on the beach itself feature prominently in these condos as envisioned by the distinguished interior design firm Champalimaud. They have bestowed their own brand of modern yet timeless elegance upon every condo, using the soft color palettes familiar to Palm Beach to establish clean, contemporary lines. The ample light from the glass-ensconced living spaces provides added sparkle to the chiseled limestone and white and gray travertine. Local coral stone puts you in direct contact with the natural environment of Palm Beach as does the easy warmth of white oak. And for those who desire a different mood, walnut is also available to add a dark but clean edge to your woodwork. No matter how you match up these elements, together, the pieces harmonize to achieve an aesthetically superior contemporary look and feel that still allows you to punctuate the space with your own personal style.

The chef-caliber, custom-designed Molteni kitchens by DDG and Champlimaud are the perfect example of how colors and the choice of materials work together to bring the South Palm Beach aesthetic to your home. Open and expansive with design inspired by the revelatory work of architect Carlo Scarpa, 3550 South Ocean kitchens offer Fantini faucets along with a custom statement island of solid stone. There is an unexpected, yet thoroughly organic and satisfying, visual detail in the two pieces of contrasting stone that intersect the island.

Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue, Past and Present

Since the early 1900s, when Gilded Age barons began building beautiful homes along the water, Palm Beach has been a destination for the upper classes. In the 1930s, upscale merchants began moving to Worth Avenue, a short East/West road that bisects the narrow island. Today, as residents get ready to move into their new Palm Beach condos at 3550 South Ocean, Worth Avenue is a hotbed for art, fashion, and, of course, stylish parties that make the society pages. Come with us on this brief tour of Worth Avenue, past and present.

A Fashionable Past

Palm Beach boomed during the 1910s and 20s, with iconic clubs like the Everglades Club on Worth Avenue establishing the area as the destination for the era’s socialites. Worth Avenue’s identity as a fashion hub dates back to this period, when representatives from shops, including Bonwit Teller and Saks, would populate weekly fashion luncheons at the Everglades Club with the latest styles from Paris and New York. In keeping with the opulence of the Everglades Club, merchants on Worth Avenue incorporated the Worth Avenue Association in 1961 to preserve the avenue’s sophisticated ambiance.

A Stylish and Tasty Present

From international brands to homegrown boutiques, Worth Avenue is a one-stop destination for any resident of 3550 South Ocean. The staff at Shari’s Place will help guests create their personal fashion statement, while customers at Marley’s Palm Beach Collection will find colorful clothing in the beautiful setting of Worth Avenue’s Via Amore courtyard. Shoe shoppers will fall in love with the wealth of options from iconic brands, including Jimmy Choo and Rangoni Firenze Shoes, while residents in search of new jewelry will love boutiques like Jennifer Miller Jewelry and specialty shops like Jewelmer, the world’s leading purveyor of South Sea pearl jewelry since 1979.

After a spree along Worth Avenue, shoppers have their choice of fine-dining options, from high-end cocktails and French-American cuisine at Cafe Boulud Palm Beach to Breeze Ocean Kitchen’s alfresco offerings right on the sandy beach. Those seeking an authentic Italian dining experience near Worth Avenue should search out Renato’s, which opened in 1987 and has been serving classic fare ever since, as well as more modern dishes like black squid ink fettuccine with salmon and saffron cream sauce. After dinner, it’s just a short drive south from Worth Avenue to 3550 South Ocean, where residents can watch the sunset from their private balconies.

We sat down with Arielle Feinberg, the property manager at 3550 South Ocean, for a conversation about what drew her to this new collection of Palm Beach condos. Feinberg has more than 15 years of experience in the high-end hospitality industry and has held director-level positions in spa and fitness facilities around the country, including, most recently, as the Spa & Leisure Director at the nearby Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa.

“There’s so much to do in the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods,” said Feinberg about Palm Beach. “Here, you are so close to the amazing restaurants.”

Feinberg, who has called Palm Beach home since 2017, was excited as soon as she heard about the plans for the 3550 South Ocean development. “I loved the location and trend of the project, including the privacy of it,” said Feinberg. “Each unit having an ocean view makes it so special. People build these homes, and so often the view may not be included the way 3550 South Ocean has made it a focal point.”

She also praised the suite of high-end spa and fitness amenities at 3550 South Ocean. “The top-of-the-line equipment for the gym and pool is amazing,” said Feinberg. “Having it all in one place is crucial.”

Feinberg also highlighted the availability of wellness and fitness classes, which were taken into consideration during the design phase of the process. As property manager, she intends to host wellness events to foster a sense of community. But Feinberg understands that exercise and wellness are not the only elements of the engaged lifestyle that is available in a place like 3550 South Ocean; that’s why, in addition to classes and group workouts, she is also considering events like “cuisine pairings, fashion shows, entertainment, anything that can fit around the pool.”

One of the benefits of living on Palm Beach is the proximity to world-class hotels and spas. In fact, 3550 South Ocean has a partnership Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, which will give residents access to the spa as well as special offers on hotel rooms for their guests.

Among the many fine restaurants in Palm Beach, Feinberg recommends nearby eateries Temple Orange, Florie’s, and Buccan Palm Beach. Palm Beach proper, which is a short drive from 3550 South Ocean, “has so many amazing options,” said Feinberg. “Everyday necessities are also very accessible, which is important.”

Feinberg is just one member of the stellar team that makes 3550 South Ocean the best address in Palm Beach, working to create a bespoke wellness and hospitality experience for every resident.
